Aaron Clark

Co-Founder

Aaron Clark is a proud descendant of the Tjap Whurrung / Kirrae Whurrong peoples of the Maar nation and a seasoned leader with over two decades of experience in executive and board roles across community, cultural and corporate sectors.

In addition to his position as a Director of Murrungar, he currently serves as the Executive Lead – Social Procurement, Inclusion and Engagement at A.G. Coombs Group, championing initiatives that foster diversity, equity and meaningful engagement with First Peoples communities.

Aaron’s career has been defined by his unwavering commitment to the empowerment of Aboriginal people and the creation of inclusive pathways for multicultural youth. 

His leadership journey includes influential roles such as Director of the Korin Gamadji Institute at the Richmond Football Club and Director of First Peoples, Planning Committee for 2026 Commonwealth Games (Victoria).

He provides strategic guidance to businesses on First Peoples inclusion and Reconciliation Action Plans and facilitates programs in leadership, business strategy and social impact as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the Australian Graduate School of Management (ASGM) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Business School.

Russell Telford

Co-Founder

Russell Telford has played a leading role in nurturing Indigenous partnerships throughout his executive management career. 

For over 25 years as Managing Director of the A.G. Coombs Group, Russell has been instrumental in growing the organisation, with a strong emphasis on diversity, inclusion and belonging.

His vision is to embed the recognition, acknowledgement and celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders’ rich and diverse cultural heritage within A.G. Coombs and the buildings services industry it leads. 

Russell’s pro-active and customer-focused leadership style, with an emphasis on cooperation and communication, has been a driving force behind the successful delivery of some of Australia’s largest and most complex building projects. 

His commitment to Indigenous empowerment and reconciliation has seen him champion and implement two groundbreaking Reconciliation  Action Plans, partner with the Korin Gamadji Institute and work closely  with numerous First Nations-led organisations to affect positive change in communities across the country. 

Recognised as an industry stalwart, Russell has been both Director and President of the Air Conditioning & Mechanical Contractors Association (AMCA) Victoria, President of AMCA Australia, Foundation Chair of the Refrigerant & Climate Control Centre of Excellence and Project Board Chair of BIM-MEPAUS. 

He is a Fellow of Australian Institute of Management, a Member of the Institute of Company Directors and a Registered Building Practitioner.
