Meaning ‘to build, grow and nurture’ in the Kirrae Whurrong language of southwest Victoria, Murrungar seeks to strengthen capability and cultural inclusion within client supply chains.
As a profit-for-purpose organisation, Murrungar ensures that proceeds support Indigenous apprenticeships, leadership programs and community-driven initiatives, including sport and youth development. Driving impact for change.

Our story
Murrungar means ‘to build, grow and nurture’ in the Kirrae Whurrung language of southwest Victoria. The Murrungar brand artwork is a strong visual representation of our origin story and the ethos behind our name.
The green represents the hills of southwest Victoria, Maar country, orange is the Darling River region soil and black is an expression of our people. The Journey lines and meeting places signify our shared journey to reconciliation. White dot circles denote extended family and a supportive community.
The emu footprints highlight the emu’s spiritual connection to Murrungar, showing the journey being walked together. Crosshatched shapes symbolise the three Murrungar themes of Build, Grow and Nurture.
